Custom Pet Paintings & Drawings
All my paintings are painted in oil and on canvas or panel.
Drawings are done with graphite and charcoal on a 117lb., white, acid free stock.
Capturing the personality and uniqueness of each pet is what my work is based on.
Each portrait is devoted to expressing the identity of your beloved pet, past or present.
If you would like me to paint your pet, please send me an email to discuss. Please include a few photos of your pet, so we can work together to come up with the best composition for the painting.
Because each painting is based solely on the photos I am provided, the quality of the photos is very important. See below for tips on how to take a quality photo.
Tips for Taking and Choosing Photos
Make sure your pet is well lit with natural light. This can be done from sitting by a window or outside. Having the sunlight hitting your pet from angle can make for a wonderful dramatic painting.
It’s best to not take photos standing above your pet and looking down at them. It is ideal to take them from their eye level.
Please make sure the photo is in focus and not blurry. Phone camera images can work very well.
